Job Title: CONTRACTOR – Line Associate 1

Key Duties:

  • CONTRACT POSTION. Contractor is paid on a piecework basis, not hourly, however the result is an equivalent of $10.50 per hour.
  • Position is not eligible for benefits.
  • Loading and/or unloading of glass cartridges into and out of wire racks with brief visual inspection.
  • Requires some dexterity and good eye sight.
  • Must be able to safely, regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally 40 lbs.
  • Effective verbal communication skills required.
  • Good documentation skills are desired, but specifics will be trained.
  • Must adhere to standardized operating procedures.
  • Hours of operation are 7:00AM – 10:00PM, flexible shifts are available however Evening Shift (2:00PM – 10:00PM) is preferred.

Job Title: FULL-TIME – Line Associate 1

Key Duties:

  • HOURLY POSITION. Individual begins as a Contractor then is subject to upward adjustment within 6 weeks to transition to an employee at $10.50/hour and benefits depending upon performance.
  • Position is eligible for benefits once hired as an employee.
  • Loading and/or unloading of glass cartridges into and out of wire racks with brief visual inspection.
  • Requires some dexterity and good eye sight.
  • After training and acclimation, achievement of performance targets is required.
  • Must be able to safely, regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally 40 lbs.
  • Effective verbal communication skills required.
  • Good documentation skills are desired, but specifics will be trained.
  • Must adhere to standardized operating procedures.
  • Hours of operation are 7:00AM – 10:00PM, flexible shifts are available however working during Evening Shift (2:00PM – 10:00PM) is preferred.

Job Title: PART-TIME – Quality Control Specialist

Summary:

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes and procedures are adhered to in order to ensure the quality of the products at Saxon Glass Technologies, Inc. Regardless of the task, the main objective of the Quality Control Specialist is to verify the product or process meets the customer specifications and requirements. The role of this team member would be to coordinate quality assurance activities for our client and accommodate requests for regulatory and quality support from our sites.

Key Duties:

  • Expected to perform ongoing review the validity of the process. This includes review of staff workmanship by visually inspecting or manually testing products or processes, before, during or after the manufacturing process in these areas:
    • Loading
    • Rinsing & Drying
    • Unloading
    • Palletizing
    • Tank Operations
    • Crush Testing
    • Wrapping & Boxing
  • Daily check on the health of the tools and accessories (primarily racks) then reporting deficiencies to management.
  • Perform basic analysis of product defect data to determine if additional quality measures need to be implemented or reported.
  • Assist management in developing and conducting quality related training programs for operations.
  • Conduct training and development of associates to ensure compliance to processes and regulations. Conduct any remedial training for staff not performing up to quality standards.
  • Occasionally run and monitor inspection equipment, as well as record and analyze quality data.
  • When required review, implement and follow up on corrective and preventive actions derived from customer complaints and/or customer returns.
  • Perform internal audits, assessments, and quality inspections of any Rework activities performed.
  • Occasionally assist management during regulatory, customer and 3rd party audits.
  • May have to stand for hours at a time, or perform their duties seated in a controlled environment.
  • May be required to work overtime during peak manufacturing periods or audits with short notice.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in related field of study
  • Research skills, analytical thinking and strong understanding of statistical analysis
  • On-the-job experience or two years of Quality control is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and conscientiousness
